Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is ready to let kids around the world know that they are special and loved by God. OCC reminds us that the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ, and shoe-box gifts demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way and serve as an example of His greatest gift to us.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoe-box gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.

The shoe-box project is active mid-October to mid-November.  Check out their website at Samaritans Purse for details on what to include and how to wrap the box. An excellent option instead of a cardboard shoe-box is to purchase a plastic 'shoe-box' (widely available at discount stores); that way the child has a sturdy box to hold special items!

Be sure to complete the tracking form if you'd like to know the final destination of your box. Now that's "thinking global while acting local!"
