GOD HAS IN MIND FOR US A FULL LIFE!

The most important thing we need to understand, in the world of why and how, is this; God doesn't want us to understand everything, God wants us to trust His sovereignty. When we place our complete trust in God, God is pleased. God is going to provide every single need we have, that's the way the universe functions and God is also going to provide for our every single eternal need. That's the way God functions!
In a short piece called; "Others May, You Cannot" by George Watson, this paragraph explains much of our condition. "...make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign and has a right to do as He pleases with His own. He may not explain to you a thousand things which puzzle your reason with His dealings with you, but if you absolutely sell yourself to be His love slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love and bestow upon you many blessings."
The 'why' is because He loves us. The 'how' is multifaceted but it begins with creation, continues with the incarnation of Christ in the world as announced to the shepherds, and continues with our eternal salvation. So, the message is simple, GOD PROVIDES! We, God's people, need to be focused on CLAIMING GOD'S POWER TO PROVIDE! And the "how" involves THREE SIMPLE STEPS...
  •  BID FAREWELL TO THE scarcity mindset!
  • BASE YOUR PROMISES ON God's promises!
  • EXTEND THE LIMITS OF YOUR spiritual comfort zones!
We are called beyond our comfort zones when we have needs far beyond our ability to care for them... and we must trust the Good Shepherd to provide!

GOD HAS IN MIND FOR US A FULL LIFE!

The question is, how do we attain this full life? Well, the answer is in God's Word. that's right, God has provided every answer we need, from the beginning of creation. So we need only use the resources God has provided, utilizing these simple concepts.
First, focus on maturity not perfection! I know as Methodists we are told to "go on to perfection". And we are even asked that question in ordination to which we answer, "with God as my help, yes! But perfection is our goal, not our requirement. We must grow and mature if we are to get anywhere near the perfection God created for us.
Next, we must yield the right of way! That means get out f the way and let God be God! I have to say GUILTY! And raise my hand in confession. It all too easy to think I can handle everything myself, and I forget to allow God into the situation or problem.
