Prayer shawls made by the loving hands of the Good Shepherd Yarn Spinners, are presented at a service to be blessed by our Heavenly Father through the prayers of the entire congregation. Many shawls have already been put to work, bringing God's love and comfort to people in need. There are several beautiful shawls in the Welcome Center waiting to give comfort to you or someone you know. Please remember that prayer shawls are not just for those experiencing difficult times but can also be given in celebration of important events in our lives. Baptisms, weddings, births, first communions, and graduations are examples of appropriate times to give a prayer shawl.
If you know someone who would benefit from one of these beautiful shawls, make a selection and fill out the request card inside the bag. Take the shawl and card to the office. If you would like the shawl wrapped in tissue and tied with yarn, Cindy Edwards will be happy to do that for you. There is no cost for these shawls but the blessings they hold are many.
